Creating Custom Labels

Onboard’s Data Model lets you create and define your own labels, giving you the flexibility to categorize your data your way.

  • While our Data Model supports Haystack 4.0 tags out of the box, custom labels give you even more control.
  • Empower Your Workflow – Tailor your data model to fit your specific need, whether for richness, clarity, or consistency.
  • Seamless Use – Custom labels can be reused across other classes and automatically shared across your organization.

How it works?

  1. Navigate to the Data Model page
  2. Select an equipment or point type for which you want to add a custom label
  3. Under the Labels section, click New Label
  4. A dropdown will display all existing custom labels within your organization
  5. To create a new label, type the label name and press Enter
  6. The label is now attached to the selected equipment or point class
  7. Add a definition for the new label and click check icon. Your custom label is now ready
  8. The label can be reused across other classes and by other users within your organization

Note: Unused labels are automatically deleted after 14 days.
