Learn How Onboard AI Helps in Modeling Your Building Data

The Staging Interface is powered by Onboard AI, which organizes, cleans & models your building data. Your building data is prepared for you so the heavy lifting is done. The AI is trained on more than 1,000 buildings. Here’s how it works:

  • Asset Discovery: Onboard AI gives you an overview of the assets discovered in your building at a glance. This gives you insight into what type of equipment your building has and how many of each. E.g AHU, VAVs, Boilers, Chilled Water Plant, Meters, etc
Asset Overview
  • Reduce Clutter: Onboard’s AI automatically un-assigns points it determines are not relevant to an equipment, reducing clutter. These points can still be found using the AI Unassigned flag on the Points Tab.
  • Automatic Predictions: Onboard’s AI generates predictions for point types and equipment types and automatically applies the label with the highest confidence score as the suggested label.
Equipment Type Predictions
  • Confidence Indicator: The top prediction is shown alongside a confidence score in the confidence column. The confidence score is a percentage value indicating the level of certainty that the label predicted by Onboard’s AI is accurate. If you manually save an equipment type or point type label, it is marked with 100% confidence.
  • Top Predictions List: When selecting an equipment or point type from the dropdown menu, you can view the top five predictions from Onboard’s AI.
Point Type Predictions
  • Relationship Predictions: Onboard’s AI suggests FEEDS relationships for AHUs serving VAVs downstream, based on the telemetry data. Make sure your equipment is published and streaming data for best results. Learn more about FEEDS relationships in Using the Equipment Tab.
